Hypnotherapy

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a process by which an altered state of awareness is achieved, either externally or internally facilitated. Everyone enters in and out of altered states everyday. For example, have you ever been driving your car, and all of a sudden you almost run through a red light or miss your turn? Well, guess what - you just traveled in and out of an altered state! You also enter altered states while daydreaming, watching TV, or reading. Contrary to popular belief, 95% of people can be hypnotized, and you won't necessarily run around clucking like a chicken - unless you truly wanted to.

Under hypnosis, the ego always remains engaged. In other words, if you didn't have the predisposition to run around clucking like a chicken prior to hypnosis, then you won't while you're under, or after, hypnosis. Hypnosis merely detaches the conscious mind to allow the subconscious mind to receive suggestion. Have you ever been passively listening to a song, not really one of your favorites or anything, and found yourself singing all the words? That's subconscious suggestion in action.

What is a Hypnotherapist?

A hypnotherapist uses hypnosis as a form of energy psychology for their patients. He/she acts as a guide and facilitator of the client's altered state, and addresses any emotional, physiological, or psychological issues the client may have. In other words, a hypnotherapist doesn't just hypnotize you; they aid and counsel you in correcting the issue at hand.

What is Transpersonal Hypnotherapy?

Transpersonal Hypnotherapy is based on Jungian philosophy, and utilizes hypnosis to help address life issues on an holistic level, integrating mind, body, and spirit. Transpersonal Hypnotherapy access the subconscious mind as a gateway to the superconscious mind, tapping into the client's own intuitive ability. Everyone holds the key to self healing; everyone holds the key to their own success within the superconscious mind. A Transpersonal Hypnotherapist guides the client to this self realization through hypnosis. The client dictates how the treatment will unfold, as they hold their own Highest Knowledge, and serve as the center of therapeutic action.

What is Transpersonal Hypnotherapy used to treat?

Transpersonal Hypnotherapy can be used to address many issues the client wishes to overcome, such as smoking cessation, weight loss, insomnia, chronic pain and fatigue, anxiety, phobias, addictions - the list goes on and on. Most any issue calling for behavior modification can be overcome through Transpersonal Hypnotherapy.

As Transpersonal Hypnotherapy works on an holistic foundation, the spiritual aspect is very important to treatment, and can incorporate intra-life, past-life, and between-lives therapy, as either a compliment to current hypnotherapy, or as a stand alone service. Many people are fascinated with the idea of reincarnation and past lives, and request guided sessions to only discover past lives, rather than addressing a behavior issue.
